Labor & Single Payer – State Wide Conference

The chair of California legislature Robert Rivas in April tabled even a hearing and discussion on the Single Payer bill introduced with the support of NNU CNA. This attack by the Democrats in even having a discussion about single payer is part of a long history of how the insurance, hospital and pharmacy industry have controlled both the State government and national government.
This statewide meeting will look at the struggle for single payer and the need for a united front of all unions and working people to build a workers movement for single payer.
