The use of ICE to terrorize and incarcerate immigrant workers and workers and community people who challenge them is a major threat to the entire working class.
John Caravello, a CFA member and lecturer at CSU Channel Island went to the ICE prison to observe the treatment of the workers and was attacked and arrested by the ICE who pressed felony charges against him. He and his union the CFA organized a defense campaign with other workers and community members who had been targeted and attacked and this was successful and led to an acquittal. This has lessons for all workers and the labor movement
