Gj\u00f8vik<\/strong><\/em>, EPA, OSHA Whistleblower and Fired\u00a0 Apple senior engineering program manager<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apple in silicon valley had an office built on a toxic dump site and workers were getting sick from the fumes. When Apple&#8217;s senior engineering program manager reported it to Apple, they refused to take action to defend the workers. She went to EPA and had also been harassed and retaliated against\u00a0 on other issues including improper spying on her.<br \/>\nShe filed complaints with the EPA, Federal and Cal-OSHA and many other agencies and eventually filed a RICO complaint against Apple.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She discovered they were releasing fumes from a silicon manufacturing facility close to her apartment and the homes of others.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She also discovered that Apple had hired former Obama director of the EPA Lisa Jackson\u00a0 to run the Environmental and Government relations for Apple.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She will report on the systemic violations of health and safety, labor and human rights by Apple and what it means to working people and organizing at Apple.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\" \/><br style=\"font-weight: 400;\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Apple in silicon valley had an office built on a toxic dump site and workers were getting sick from the fumes.
