A new book,Liverpool Dockers: A History of Rebellion and Betrayal\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/span>written by Mike Carden<\/em><\/strong>, a former steward of the Transport and General Workers\u00a0<\/span>Union and one of the dockers\u2019 leaders, was posthumously published recently.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
Carden, a militant syndicalist, has written a sharp critique of the TGWU leadership,\u00a0<\/span>the Trade Union Congress and the British Labour Party for not supporting the\u00a0<\/span>Liverpool dockers. The book offers seminal lessons for today\u2019s union activists and\u00a0<\/span>organizers. <\/span><\/div>\n
