Privatization, Union Busting, The Global Fightback

The privatization of public resources is an epidemic around the world. The US through the World Bank and IMF has demanded that countries privatize and deregulate their economics to make them more “efficient”.  This has led to the sale off of all the resources and public services including health-care, education and the pensions of public workers, and this was pushed in Brazil and Chile by the “Chicago Boys” led by Milton Friedman.
The privatized health-care system has also made it even more difficult to control the global pandemic with for profit health-care systems dominating in more and more countries.
We will look at this privatization as well in the Bay Area with the privatization in Northern California.
