The nation\u2019s largest steel maker took on its most militant labor union, with devastating consequences for American workers. Andrew Carnegie and Henry Clay Frick head a fascinating cast of characters, which includes 300 armed Pinkerton guards and the would-be anarchist assassin, Alexander Berkman. This American tragedy still resonates 125 years later, especially in communities hard hit by the decline of heavy industry and labor\u2019s diminishing clout.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"schedule-title\"><strong>Report on Labor in the Schools<\/strong> <\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"schedule-body\">The struggle to defend working people and our unions requires a real knowledge of history.
